i accidentally chanced upon a couple of secondary schoolmate's friendsters.
those are girls that always belongs. those that have it all. those that always have a large group of girls around them. they are multi-talented, they are high achievers. their lives go according to plan. good jc where all their friends are, prestigious uni where they see even more old, friendly faces. they attend parties, are involved in many school activities and performances. their carefully made up faces, are just the same as those we now see on club magazines, women magazines. those potential miss singapores. we've really reached the age, don't we?
well, i'm different. i deviated from the path, and fell out of that social circle completely after jc. i joined the not-so-elite social circle. not insulting anyone, not saying life's bad not being among the high flyers. it just makes me come into contact with the rest of the population. not living in the days when everyone around you are so good and popular that it feels like this is the world to you.
right now maybe all those photos look so exciting and colourful that i will want my life to be like them. i will always feel so young. i look at those photos feeling the same way i will feel if i were in secondary school. those beautiful ladies out there. but from another point of view, every paths taken in life is a challenge. it is how i make them out to be. maybe i'm just feeling sorrowful that i am one of those sheeps that didnt follow the rest and got lost somewhere, somehow.
